After 11 months of exploring Latin America we’ve finally returned home to regular America, and we have to admit it feels good to be home - to be able to completely understand a conversation, to have wide open spaces, and to have a truck and drive the hell out of it on beautifully paved roads. Of course, there are plenty of things that now seem strange to us: parking lots, HUGE homes, garbage pick up and recycling, recreational vehicles, and dark beer, to name a few.
To help us readjust to the USA before we begin working again in Seattle, we are taking a road trip to Michigan for Chris’ sister’s wedding and are visiting friends and family along the way. So far we have already been to a beautiful wedding in Aspen, backpacked for a few days, went to a backyard BBQ in Boulder, and gone on a fly fishing trip with Mia’s bro (Chris caught a nice rainbow trout that Mia cooked up). We hope to see you on the road soon!
